Leander – furniture for the development of children Leander Form is a company that has grown out of the needs of children. Initially, the Leander cradle started the adventure and since then a number of pieces of furniture have been developed, all of which follow and stimulate the child’s development.
All the furniture has been created on children’s terms. “Product development is a process that requires a precise analysis of our everyday life – our wishes and movements. If we can do things better then we have come far - right from the choice of raw materials, through the workmanship to the finished design.
When we create our furniture we think at the level of a child and we experience the world through the little person’s needs for security and development,” emphasises Stig Leander, the designer behind the furniture. The Leander furniture is manufactured in, among other things, European beech, moulded in a classic Scandinavian design that combines function with simple, clear aesthetics.
The principle is that the beautiful appearance must always be accompanied by great applicability. And that good design gives pleasure and quality of life.
