ABC DESIGN: '3 Tec' Stroller Pram Zoom

Available in over 30 countries, ABC Design has finally made it to Australia. They offer a single or twin pram option with seat or Carry Cot. Both parts are interchangeable with great ease and lightness. A pram is seen as an essential piece of equipment by many parents. There are no organic or biodegradable baby prams on the market for parents so when Nature’s Child went looking for a pram to recommend to parents, we looked for one that had the eco-friendly qualities.

We looked for product longevity, state of the art workmanship and sturdy assembly. It had to be a pram that would not get scratched or damaged from overuse, a pram that could proudly be passed around family or friends and still be looking great. We think ABC hits the mark on all these points! All prams and strollers sold in Australia are made in China. The ABC ‘3-Tec’ Stroller is made in China however it has undergone hours of strenuous testing in Germany, with all prototypes being created in Germany first.

Known for going beyond the call of duty with testing, this impressed us. The 3-Tec combines innovative design with all the benefits of a classic convertible pram/pushchair on three wheels. A highlight is the central under-seat spring suspension which provides maximum comfort for the tiny passenger (dads love the suspension!).

THE ANGLE OF THE BACKREST provides the optimum sitting position for the child and is kind on the back. The 3-Tec can be converted from a pram to a pushchair with a simple flick of the wrist; the flexible seat makes this possible.

HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE HANDLES and the comfortable carry cot will thrill you just as much as the swivelling and locking front wheel block. Easy manoeuvrability through even the narrowest of corridors. Of course the stroller has been tested to adhere to Australian Standards for baby’s weight of up to 15kg. Being German, they did test well beyond 15kg to great success!

There is no complicated assembly when you purchase your ABC pram. The Wheels are the only part not attached when you unpack your pram and they take only a minute to apply with ease. The seat is already in one piece, there is no assembly. You simply clip it in and stroll away!

FAQ:

Why is the ABC a couple of kilo's heavier than other prams?
The ABC stroller uses only German Engineered Steel plates on all hinges. This gives you the highest quality hinge rendering repair and replacement unlikely. They are less likely to rust and provide long term ease of use for many years. Its part of the quality and exceptional manufacturing guarantee.

Why have I never heard of ABC before?
ABC has been in Europe for 21 years and is renowned for the lack of repairs required. It has only arrived in Australia in September 2010.

Is it easy to clean?
Yes - the easy wipe acrylic fabric is easy to wash and care for. The coloured aluminium frame will not scratch any colour away as it is not a paint, the frame is coloured in manufacturing. If you get a scratch, teh colour will be the same under the scratch.

Does it have the mandatory wrist strap and red brake?
Absolutely yes. All prams are required to have these features to meet Australian Standards for safety.

• The ‘Zoom’ Twin Stroller $1,595 ABC Design presents the ultra small tandem pushchair for siblings and twins; ideal for children a few years apart. The two stroller seats are included, and can be mounted either way round. Depending on the mood of the children or parents the elements can be attached facing the front or the back. The telescopic handlebar is continuously height-adjustable. The pushchair seats are also extremely flexible and adaptable, the angle of the backrest provides the optimum sitting position for the child and is kind on the back.
