Children are still playing these games but in even more complex ways at 7-10yrs so this is a toy that has a long life. The horses and “knights” (wooden pegs as pictured) come with this set to complete the scene for them.
The walls are made in pieces rather than fixed structure which allows your child to design the shape of the building, moving walls and doors at will - a bit like building blocks. The lack of fixed structure is ideal for their imagination, with no limitations as to how the game can be played out.
Made from solid pine and made locally in Melbourne Australia by a loving toy maker, the wooden castle like all our toys is strong and sturdy.
The horses are single carved pieces and the knights are playfully peg like, allowing childrens imagination to be ignited.
