We just love the Gepetto Wooden Teething Toy. It was one of the very first baby products sold here at Nature’s Child over 18 yrs ago.
The Gepetto Wooden Teething Toy is ideal and safe for baby as it is non-splintering, with wood grain properties particularly effective at reflecting colour brightness, often a difficulty with many timbers. All paints and lacquers used by Gepetto Toy Craft are supplied by a German manufacturer who advocates an ECO-friendly company policy, and is certified in accordance with TÞV CERT procedures that have established and applies an environmental management system for research, development, production and distribution of paints, lacquers and coatings for industrial users, fulfilling the requirements of DIN EN ISO 14001:1996.
Gepetto Wooden toy products are manufactured to meet the safety specifications required for childrens’ toys. They are resistant to perspiration and saliva in accordance with the European Technical Constant, DIN 53160. Most importantly they are free from heavy metals, satisfying the non-toxic requirements of the European Standard EN 71 part 3, which is consistent with all international toxicity standards. Gepetto commissioned independent toxicity testing which confirmed the above manufacturers claims. These tests, carried out last year, also confirmed our toys comply with the American Standard for Mechanical Hazards, ASTM F963, which has equivalent specifications to the Australian Standard for Toy Safety, AS1647.2
