How to Enjoy your Herbal Tea

Let’s face it, as a new mum, convenience is vital so we will share two ways to make your breastfeeding teas. The quick way and the long way!

The Quick Way to Make Nursing Tea

1 – Use a teapot with a built-in tea infuser such as the one pictured and add one scoop of fennel seed in the top and add boiling water. Drink warm or cool. If tea goes cool before you get a chance to drink it, you can reheat or enjoy as a cool summer drink.

2 – Scoop 1 heaped teaspoon of Fenugreek seed in a cup of cold water in your saucepan bring to the boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink several cups daily. *Infusion may also be applied topically to the skin as required.

INFUSE your leaf tea

A cup of tea is one of the most relaxing parts of your day as a mother or father. That moment when you get to rest and recuperate. Did you know that Herbal teas utilise specific plant parts, such as flowers, roots, fruits, seeds, leaves and bark?

Herbal teas used for breastfeeding teas are a really economical and natural way to access minerals and nutrition in plants. Speak to your naturopath or herbalists if you would like professional advice on the best nursing tea for you and your baby.
